The World Heritage List withholds nowadays 890 units of cultural and natural heritage, valued as most outstanding, located in 148 states of which 146 had ratified in the World Heritage Convention in April 2009.
The worth and variety of cultural monuments on Romanian territory caused the addition of thirty of its most emblematic works or art and architecture to this list - joining others already on the list.
