A Fully Illustrated guide to the wild flowers of Britain and Ireland.  Illustrated by Ian Garrard. Text by David Streeter.   Rare Book.   Indexed.

This volume displays the complete range of approximately 1400 British wild flowers depicted by superb drawings, with accompanying natural history notes.

The illustrations are mongst the best that have ever been published.  They display the plant key features and are arranged by family.  The drawings are uncrowded, easily distinguished and very accurately reproduced.

The text is the most complete account that is readily accessible of the distribution and ecology of British wild flowers.  Long, complex descriptions and keys are made unnecessary by the clarity of the illustrations, but short notes on the indentification of smilar and closely related species have been included, together with details of specialist literature for futher reading.

The Wild Flowers of the British Isles is a beautifully presented reference work, indispensable to naturalists, botanists, gardeners and all those interested in the British countryside.
