This book is an inspiring story of remarkable courage and determination. In November 1982 Mark Inglis was trapped with fellow climbers for 13 days in an ice cave near the summit of Mt Cook.

Experiencing raging blizzards and severe frostbite lead to Mark being an amputee at the age of 23. However  he transformed his life by became a research scientist and mading medal-winning wines. He won a sliver medal cycling at the Sydney Paralympic Games. In 2002, to his great joy, he stepped onto the summit of Mt Cook again.
