This book is derived from a major exhibiton of original art displayed in the Society of Illustrators Museum of American Illustration in New York  (Feb 3 - April 14 1982).  

These 501 reproductions were judged the finest art of the pervious year from over 6,000 entries in advertising, book, editorial and institutional categories.  A total of 36 distinguished artists and art directors comprised the four separate juries.

This volume features both published and unpublished works from each catergory.
