This a true adventure story.  Geordie climbed, hunted, fished canoed and fossicked for gold; he was also a keen falconer, bridwatcher and photographer. Sadly he was killed attempting a daring escapade in the Southern Alps.

His brother, George Bennett, touched by the warmth of many letters from friends visited New Zealand, and then retraced Geordie' steps.

With Shamus, Geordies' comrade-in-arms, George covered 6,000 kilometres, often living rough, and meeting with those who knew his brother.
