This is a fluent book and as direct as Glen Turner's batting. This is the inside story of the development of a cricketer whose attitude to the great game was always professional. Even so, he communicates his enjoyment.
He played in almost every cricketing nation in the world, making four double-centurries for New Zealand in the West Indies and ten centuries for Worcester during 1970. In 1973 he headed the English batting averages, scoring a further thousand runs to the thousand he had scored by May.
The book is anecdotal and personal and gives an insight into his approach to an innings, to his technique, and how he batted against different bowlers, especially against spin.
